Writing Reviews of Books, DVDs, Music, etc.

Ocean Shores Public Library offers the ability for patrons to review books that they have read.

Reviews can be submitted through the online catalog system. To provide a review, search your book of choice through the catalog. Double click the title and log in to your account. Then write a review depicting your opinion of the material. Half way down the page. Provide a handle for your reviews, a rating for the item in question, and write a short review. The library director reviews each patron submission before it is posted.

The purpose of the review of submissions is to make sure the content is appropriate for patrons of all ages.

An example of a recent review:

Book Reviewed: Ten Things We Did (And Probably Shouldn't Have)
Rating: 7/10
Review: What would you do if your parents wanted to move and take you away from all your friends and your last two years in H.S.? Well the main character in this book, April, decides she will come up with a scheme to live with her best friend and her mother, except her friends mom is traveling on the road as an stage actress. Two high school girls living alone, you can guess what they do, parties, a new hot tub, and cute boys...this is a fun read and I really wanted April to get away with all of it, read it to find out if she does :)
